[343] Olympic Logos, Round 1

I'm not sure if I should go with the brush style or the clean style. Thoughts por favor.

  1. i like 12 logo design it is festive but not too overwhelming. I also like 8's type treatment maybe you can balance the both elements. Giving it a festive but olympic or prestigious feel to it.

  2. Number 7 caught my eyes. I like how the rings in the flower shape but i concern that it might be not easy to see the rings when that logo goes smaller. I feel that number 1, 2, and 4 will work because they have good balances. Number 14 looks good and japan style.

  3. Logo 1 has a very professional and clean appearance. I would try shrinking the Olympic rings to help out the hierarchy. If you want to go for the brush style, try to use a brushstroke for the stroke and crosshatching of the same color for the fill.

  4. 12 is working. The logo works great in both far and near distances. Its bold and simple. I like that went with the brush stroke effect on the logo, otherwise it would have been too clean and dull. The only suggestion I have is to space out the icon and title a little more. It seems a little close. It could just be the size of the icon. Another suggestion is that your title is very clean and sharp whereas your icon has brush stroke effect. Try giving the title a little of that same effect. overall, I think its successful.

  5. All are very good but I really like #13 and #3. 13's brush stroke look is great because it reflects the history of Tokyo and it being an ancient city. But 3 is nice too because Tokyo is also one of the most modern cities in the world and 3 captures this because of its' geometric and the sans serif font. They are both very modern choices.

  6. Out of all, i fav #9 & #12... I enjoy both the clean and brush stroke logos..so it is a tough decision to make...but in all honestly, i feel #9 fits together well as ONE. As for #12, my eyes wanted to each section...first the image then the type etc..

  7. i like the hand done type on the last set i think you should go with that because it has much more style n personality over the other types. id like to see it in contrast with a clean logo maybe. also maybe you can check out japanese patterns and some how incorporate them.
    thats the shit dawg!

  8. I like the logo icon in #13, but I dont think type works very well because they are too similar and dont have enough contrast. I like the brush feeling. It reminds me of Japanese calligraphy.

In most of these I think the Olympic rings are too small and will disappear when shrunken down.

  9. I like the icon in 13 the most. The type isn't quite there though. Since the icon is more detailed, I think it would be better to put it with a simpler typefaces to balance it out. Kind of like 1-3. looks good though. :]

  10. i love all of them so much you did an amazing job and the chrysanthemum is really cool. i really like number 10 the very best and number 13 is really nice too. very professional and iconic and youthful and beautiful all at the same time! i personally like the brush strokes because i like the calligraphic look; it reminds me of the culture.

  11. I really liked the flower that is more with brush strokes that is seen in the last column. I don't care for the type that is with those flowers. I like the design in #3 with maybe a few changes such as making the year stand out more, or switching it with one of the brush stroke flowers. I think that the brush stokes relate to the culture with the traditional form of their writing. Good Job!

  12. Beautiful logos. well done!
I like the ones with the brush stroke effect. This effect has created a unique quality which I haven't seen in any of the other logos. I like #13 the most because it has a good balance and the icon is clear. This logo represents the olympic games very well.

  13. Your logos are beautifully done. #12 looks best to me. The brush strokes on the icon gives it an authentic and cultural look and at the same time it also represents the Olympic very well with the use of the Olympic colors. Great job. =)

  14. No.9 works best, I think, because the hierarchy works well. The logo isn't too small nor is the type for tokyo.

  15. I realy like your numbe 12. I love the style of the brush stroke on the flower and also the typeface. Maybe you can make the Olympic symbol be black as well so there is not too many colors. Test it out. Overall great job.

  16. No.13 works the best for me... 'cause the logo design has a sort of texture. For other designs I suggest that you may use the same font for "tokyo" and "2016." I think the thin type from design No.1 is a really good one.
